About The Position

The Licensed Optician ensures delivery of the Target Optical Way and a positive Guest Experience. The role embraces the mindsets of being people focused, collaborative, accountable to results, willing to think differently, and keeping the experience simple, fun, and in style. The optician delivers sales goals through strong Guest Experience behaviors, builds brand awareness, and maintains professional partnerships with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host. The position also involves fitting and dispensing fashionable eyewear, following operating policies and procedures, implementing approved marketing and merchandising programs, completing transactions accurately, and using sales strategies and resources.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensed as required by the state.
At least 1 year of experience in retail or customer service.
Basic computer skills.
Selling skills.
Ability to drive results.
Self-motivation.
Critical-thinking skills.
Accountability.
Accuracy in measurements.

Responsibilities

Deliver daily sales goals through flawless execution of Guest Experience behaviors.
Provide a simple, fun, and in-style fashion experience through the Playground Rules.
Build brand awareness by attracting new Guests from the Host to Optical each day.
Develop and maintain a professional business partnership with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host.
Model the Target Optical Personal Style Dress Code.
Create an excellent Guest experience by accurately fitting and dispensing fashionable products.
Follow operating policies and procedures, including training, timely and accurate implementation of approved marketing, merchandising programs and promotions, accurate completion of sales transactions, and use of sales strategies and resources.
Ensure accuracy in all transactions and interactions with Guests.
