About The Position

The Licensed Optician ensures delivery of the Target Optical Way and Guest Experience, embracing the company’s People Focused, Collaborative, Accountable to Results, Think Differently, and Simple, Fun and In Style mindsets. The role provides a fashionable, accurate eyewear fitting and dispensing experience, helps achieve daily sales goals, and builds awareness of Target Optical among Target guests. The Licensed Optician also partners professionally with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host and follows operating procedures, sales strategies, marketing programs, and merchandising promotions.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensed as required by the state.
At least 1 year of experience in retail or customer service.
Basic computer skills.
Selling skills.

Accuracy in measurements.

Responsibilities

Deliver daily sales goals through execution of Guest Experience behaviors.
Provide a simple, fun, and in-style fashion experience through the Playground Rules.
Build brand awareness by attracting new guests from the Host to Optical each day.
Develop and maintain a professional business partnership with the Target Optical doctor and Target Host.
Model the Target Optical Personal Style Dress Code.
Create an excellent guest experience by accurately fitting and dispensing fashionable products.
Follow operating policies and procedures, including training, implementation of approved marketing and merchandising programs and promotions, completion of sales transactions, and use of sales strategies and resources.
Ensure accuracy in all transactions and interactions with guests.
