The Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) is responsible for specific aspects of direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities may include taking vital signs, responding to call lights, Electronic Medical Record documentation, and personal care, including bathing, mouth care, toileting, and skin care. Ideal candidates will be reliable, flexible, compassionate, and empathetic, with a strong sense of teamwork and a focus on providing the best possible care to patients. Extraordinary time management is a must on fast-paced inpatient units. The University of Vermont Medical Center has all specialties and is currently looking for LNAs to join their Inpatient Psych unit and Alternative Care unit. Current LNA openings are on various units including General Surgery, General Medicine, Cardiology, Neurosurgery/Sciences, Mother/Baby, Orthopedics, Pre-Op, and PACU.
