The University of Vermont Medical Center is offering a Nurse Assistant Trainee course for individuals interested in becoming a Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA). This 5-week, full-time program includes daytime classes Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours per week. Upon successful completion of the course and the state LNA exam, participants will be licensed and begin working on an assigned unit. The program seeks reliable, flexible, compassionate, and empathetic candidates with strong teamwork skills and a focus on patient care. Excellent time management is essential for fast-paced inpatient units. The training involves classroom, lab, and clinical practice in an acute medical/surgical setting. UVM Health Network also offers support for ESL learners through a virtual platform with access to a companion course and group classes.
