The Licensed Nurse Assistant (LNA) is responsible for specific aspects of direct and indirect patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities may include taking vital signs, responding to call lights, Electronic Medical Record documentation, and personal care, including bathing, mouth care, toileting, and skin care. The ideal candidates will be reliable, flexible, compassionate, and empathetic, with a strong sense of teamwork and a focus on providing the best possible care to patients. Extraordinary time management is a must on fast-paced inpatient units. Current LNA openings are on the Inpatient Psych unit and Alternative Care unit, specifically on the General Medicine (Full-time - Day/Night), Neurosciences/Surgery (Full-time - Night), Pre-Op (Part-time - Day), and Medical ICU (Part-time - Day/Eve) units. These positions require a consistent, ongoing schedule and cannot accommodate rotating, short-term, or academic-based availability. As an LNA at UVMMC, there is an opportunity to develop a career through the LNA Advancement Program and participate in the LNA Council.
