About The Position

Jiffy Lube / Premium Velocity Auto (PVA) is seeking a Licensed State Motor Vehicle Inspector / Lube Technician to perform state-regulated vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance services. The role supports vehicle safety, regulatory compliance, and customer confidence by evaluating vehicle systems, documenting inspection results, and clearly communicating outcomes and recommended corrective actions. The position also includes routine maintenance services and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Requirements

Valid State Motor Vehicle Inspector License.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to perform physical job duties, including standing, lifting 50+ lbs, bending, crawling, and reaching.
Comfort working in enclosed and semi-outdoor environments.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform state-mandated vehicle inspections and multi-point safety checks.
Ensure compliance with DMV regulations and emissions standards.
Accurately document inspection results and maintain required records.
Communicate pass/fail outcomes and recommended corrective actions to customers.
Inspect vehicles for wear, damage, faulty components, or illegal equipment.
Evaluate mechanical systems, electrical components, and accessories.
Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, fluid top-offs, and light, wiper, brake, and tire services.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
