About The Position

Jiffy Lube / Premium Velocity Auto (PVA) is seeking a Licensed State Motor Vehicle Inspector / Lube Technician to ensure vehicles meet state DMV standards and give customers confidence in their vehicle’s safety. Requirements

Valid State Vehicle Inspector License.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to perform the physical job duties, including standing for long periods, lifting 50+ lbs., bending, reaching, crawling, and climbing stairs.
Comfort working in enclosed or semi-outdoor environments.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
Basic automotive repair and maintenance knowledge.
Commitment to safety procedures and standards.
Growth-minded and willing to train.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform multi-point vehicle inspections to check compliance with emissions standards and state regulations.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
Communicate pass/fail results, recommend corrective actions, and advise the service team about additional needs.
Inspect vehicles for wear, damage, faulty components, illegal equipment, and alignment issues.
Evaluate key mechanical systems, accessories, electrical circuits, and air lines.
Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, fluid top-offs, and light, wiper, brake, and tire services.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
