About The Position

Premium Velocity Auto / Jiffy Lube (PVA) is hiring a Licensed State Motor Vehicle Inspector / Lube Technician. The role ensures vehicles meet state DMV standards and helps customers understand their vehicle’s safety through inspections, communication of results, and preventative maintenance services. The position performs multi-point inspections for compliance with emissions standards and state regulations, documents findings, communicates pass/fail results, recommends corrective actions, and advises the service team about additional needs. It also includes evaluating vehicle systems and components, performing routine preventative maintenance, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Requirements

Valid State Vehicle Inspector License.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to perform physical job duties, including standing for long periods, lifting 50+ lbs., bending, reaching, crawling, and climbing stairs.
Comfort working in enclosed or semi-outdoor environments.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
Basic automotive repair and maintenance knowledge.
Commitment to safety procedures and standards.
Willingness to train and a growth-minded attitude.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform multi-point vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with emissions standards and state regulations.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records.
Communicate pass/fail results, recommend corrective actions, and advise the service team on additional needs.
Inspect for wear, damage, faulty components, illegal equipment, and alignment issues.
Evaluate key mechanical systems, accessories, electrical circuits, and air lines.
Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, fluid top-offs, and light, wiper, brake, and tire services.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
