About The Position

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare has immediate openings for Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapists in Northern New Jersey to provide In-Home and Center-Based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals to make a meaningful impact while working with a diverse population of children and adolescents with exceptional needs. This position also includes mentoring newly hired therapists and interns, shaping the clinical growth of our team. Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides Comprehensive Therapeutic Support Services designed to address a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Requirements

Must have a master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); candidates with out-of-state licenses may be considered if reciprocity applies
Minimum 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience working with youth with mental health disorders
Experience mentoring, supervising, or training junior therapists and interns
Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
Some training or willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training
Experience with treatment planning, progress notes, initial assessments, and goal setting
Proficiency in counseling approaches such as CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma-Informed Care
Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
Experience providing positive behavior supports
Prior experience working with children ages 3-20; experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus
Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
Must pass all state and federal background checks
A pre-employment, post conditional job offer drug screen is required for this role.
Must submit resume plus copies of master’s degree, with a copy of NJ or Certification or License.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor H-1B or other employment visas at this time.
State Reciprocity considered, but candidate must be within 25–30 minutes of service areas
Availability during after-school hours (12 PM–8 PM); weekend flexibility is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide individual In-home therapy, Group therapy sessions, Telehealth therapy, and Outpatient center sessions.
Conduct bio-psycho-social assessments and develop treatment plans.
Teach coping, social, and anger management skills; reduce risk behaviors such as self-injury or physical aggression.
Support youth and caregivers in making effective decisions to manage behavioral challenges.
Collaborate effectively with the Child & Family Treatment Team and other professionals supporting the youth and family.
Mentor newly hired therapists and interns, providing guidance, feedback, and support in clinical practices.
Submit all required documentation and paperwork within designated timeframes (intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, etc.)
Attend monthly meetings and complete mandatory clinical documentation.
Must be able to complete or willing to train for Bio-Psycho-Social assessments.
