Licensed Mental Health Therapist (Richmond, Virginia)
About The Position
Charlie Health is seeking exceptional Licensed Mental Health Therapists/Counselors to provide remote, telehealth services to our adolescent and young adult clients. We are looking for forward-thinking mental health and substance use professionals to enhance our programming and provide the best possible care. The role involves providing telehealth services in a virtual setting, with positions available as part-time or full-time W-2. Part-time requires a minimum of 12 hours/week with flexible scheduling, while full-time requires 40 hours/week with evening and Saturday availability. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in integrating multiple modalities (DBT, CBT, EMDR, MI certification a plus), experienced with teens and young adults, passionate and skilled in group services, collaborative, creative, and engaging on video, available evenings, and committed to self-care and addressing the rural mental health crisis.
Requirements
- Must hold an independent or associate licensure in Virginia (LMSW, Temporary License as a Resident in Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy (Registration of Supervision), LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
- Master’s degree in mental health or related field.
- Experience with youth/young adults highly preferred.
- Availability between 12-40 hours/week depending on part-time or full-time W2.
- Familiar with cloud-based tools (Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox), EMR, and outcomes software.
- Must complete several state background checks for clearance to see clients.

Responsibilities
- Provide telehealth services to adolescents and young adults in a virtual setting.
- Integrate multiple modalities (DBT, CBT, EMDR, MI certification a plus).
- Provide group services.
- Collaborate with a team, participate in case discussions, and leverage expertise of others.
- Build strong relationships with clients, with a maximum of 8 clients in a group, to create sustainable healing.
