About The Position
The Licensed Mental Health Therapist provides assessment, counseling, and therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups across various care settings. The therapist collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support patient treatment, improve outcomes, and promote mental health and well-being. The role also supports a therapeutic environment that promotes patient satisfaction and quality care, and promotes service excellence through interactions marked by respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy. The therapist supports the organization’s mission, vision, and values and complies with its policies and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Behavioral Health, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
- One of the following licenses or credentials is required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
Responsibilities
- Provides psychotherapy to individuals, couples, children, families, and groups.
- Conducts initial evaluations and provides short-term and ongoing treatment.
- Performs diagnostic psychosocial assessments and develops appropriate treatment plans.
- Maintains accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Develops and manages schedules to support patient care and clinic operations.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and other professionals, to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Provides education, presentations, and clinical supervision as appropriate within area of expertise.
- Supports a therapeutic environment that promotes patient satisfaction and quality care.
- Participates in professional development and continuing education activities.
- Promotes service excellence and demonstrates respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions.
- Supports organizational mission, vision, and values and complies with all policies and ethical standards.
