Requirements

  • One of the following certifications is required: LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT or NCC.
  • Must maintain license/credentials at all times.
  • Minimum of one year experience in Substance Use Disorder Treatment or Mental Health Counseling.
  • Must be able to maintain documentation in accordance with OASAS standards, maintain client confidentiality, as well as strong staff/client boundaries, and high ethical standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multiple age groups and various treatment modalities preferred.
  • Assistance with CASAC and/or Licensing Applications/Exam

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of 15-20 clients in a residential substance use disorder program.
  • Facilitate one or two mental health groups at the residence as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct assessments on clients to evaluate their mental health needs.
  • Provide psychotherapy to address identified mental health needs.
  • Perform and conform with medication self-administration with oversight duties as per policy.
  • Collaborate with the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner on medication management issues.
  • Facilitate consultation and referrals with other providers.
  • Provide therapeutic intervention services when needed.
  • Provide case management services to support client linkages to the community.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with OASAS standards, client confidentiality, strong staff/client boundaries, and high ethical standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
