About The Position

Backpack Healthcare is growing its Illinois team and is looking for therapists to provide mental health care for children, teens, and young adults online. They offer both full-time and part-time positions, with a consistent referral flow ensuring steady income. The role involves conducting intakes, developing treatment plans, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, maintaining documentation, and supporting families through education and care coordination.

Requirements

• Active Illinois license: LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW
• Experience with children, teens, and families
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
• Committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive practice

Responsibilities

• Conduct intakes and build client-centered, trauma-informed treatment plans
• Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team — therapists, PMHNPs, and psychiatrists working together
• Maintain timely documentation in our EHR
• Support families with education and care coordination, not just the child in the room
