About The Position

Quadrant Health Group is seeking a Fully Licensed Primary Therapist (LMFT, LCSW, LCDC, or LPC) to join our growing team at Des Moines Wellness in Des Moines, IA. This role is crucial in empowering individuals to achieve their personal and therapeutic goals. Under the supervision of the Executive Clinical Director, the Therapist will be responsible for completing Biopsychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, and conducting process groups and individual sessions with clients virtually.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Master or Doctorate degree in psychology, social work, counseling or social science.
  • Licensed or registered as an LMFT, LCSW, LCDC, or LPC; or by the Board of Psychology as a Licensed Psychologist or Psychological Assistant.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from mental illness and/or substance abuse.
  • Criminal Background and pre-employment drug screen clearance required.
  • Health Screen required.
  • Develop computer skills adequate to perform word processing duties upon employment.
  • Adequate vision, hearing, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for job duties.
  • Able to sit at a desk, use keyboard, write and physically perform other job duties.
  • Able to move about the facility to observe clients and staff.

  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily treatment experience of each client.
  • Maintain assigned documentation within required timelines.
  • Conduct client assessments at admission and re-assessments as needed.
  • Conduct mental status examinations.
  • Provide appropriate treatment recommendations based on client history, signs, and symptoms.
  • Provide individual, couple/family, and group psychotherapy as needed.
  • Demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, including 5150 determinations.
  • Develop and manage treatment plans.
  • Adhere to current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, and professional boundaries.
  • Ensure Initial Treatment Plans are complete and signed within required timelines, and Treatment Plan Updates are completed upon level changes.
  • Ensure Biopsychosocial assessments are complete and signed within required timelines.
  • Conduct at least one individual session per client per week, with notes logged within 24 hours, including reasons for missed sessions.
  • Log group session notes within 24 hours if leading groups.
  • Contact referent within 48 hours of client assignment and document the call.
  • Contact referent at least once per week via phone to provide updates and document the call.
