About The Position

Lake Area Discovery Center (LADC) is hiring a Licensed Lead Preschool Teacher for our Discovery Center located at Faithful Shepherd Catholic School in Eagan, Minnesota. This is a wonderful opportunity for a licensed educator who loves early childhood education and is looking for the opportunity to lead their own classroom while being part of a collaborative and supportive teaching team. As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will lead a preschool classroom and create a warm, engaging, play-based learning environment. You will work alongside a team of Assistant Teachers who support the classroom throughout the day. You will receive paid daily classroom preparation and planning time. You will collaborate with LADC's on-site and regional Lead Teacher teams. You will work with fellow Lead Teachers to develop monthly lesson plans and share curriculum ideas and classroom resources. You will participate in continuing education, professional development, and leadership opportunities. You will build meaningful relationships with children and families while supporting each child's academic, social-emotional, physical, and spiritual development. You will partner with Faithful Shepherd Catholic School and LADC leadership to provide a high-quality preschool experience within a faith-based school community.

Requirements

A B.A. or B.S. in Education or a related field
A current or in-process Minnesota Teaching License and/or Master of Education degree
A passion for early childhood education and creating engaging learning experiences for young children
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
The ability to work collaboratively with Assistant Teachers, families, school partners, and fellow Lead Teachers

Nice To Haves

Experience teaching preschool or early elementary-aged children is preferred.
