About The Position

The Irrigator installs, maintains, operates, repairs, and troubleshoots underground irrigation systems, and completes irrigation audits. The role includes maintaining inventory of tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring supplies are available and usable, and completing requests for irrigation parts and supplies. The position requires extensive knowledge of underground sprinkler systems and experience working with commercial irrigation systems.

Requirements

• Previous experience in landscape irrigation or a related field is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication abilities and the ability to foster teamwork and positive interactions with clients and colleagues.
• Texas driver license required.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the day.
• Manual dexterity, including strong wrist and finger movement.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including digging and operating machinery, for extended periods.
• Ability to work safely in diverse conditions, including extreme temperatures and challenging environments.

Nice To Haves

• TCEQ Licensed Irrigation, preferred; equivalent experience of five years is also noted.

Responsibilities

• Manage the installation of new drip and sprinkler systems.
• Set and maintain controller times and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aspects of irrigation systems.
• Map irrigation systems for master plans.
• May instruct others in irrigation repairs.
• Operate trenchers and rock saws to install or repair lines.
• Operate the vehicle safely over an assigned route or to a destination.
• Follow company safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Keep the uniform, company vehicle, and personal appearance clean and professional.
• Conduct inventory of tools, equipment, and materials and complete requests for irrigation parts and supplies.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
