About The Position

The Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker provides psychotherapy to adults through scheduled virtual appointments and manages cases from the first visit onward, including clinical review, follow-up, and required records. Clients may seek support for anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationships, or major life changes. The clinician provides appropriate therapy and recognizes when additional clinical or community support is needed. This is a full-time remote/telehealth role serving Alabama, with weekday hours of 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Requirements

• Active Alabama LICSW license in good standing.
• Comfort using telehealth tools, electronic documentation systems, and remote client communication.
• Strong assessment skills and ethical judgment.
• Ability to manage a full-time caseload.
• Ability to support clients with emotional concerns and practical life stressors.
• Clear writing skills.
• A reliable private workspace for virtual sessions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual psychotherapy sessions with clients.
• Gather clinical and psychosocial information during initial visits.
• Address concerns affecting clients’ mental health or daily lives.
• Complete notes and required records after appointments.
• Review significant changes that occur during care.
• Connect clients with outside resources when necessary.
• Consult with colleagues on cases that require additional input.
• Maintain privacy and professional standards.
• Meet Alabama LICSW practice requirements.
