Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
About The Position
The Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker provides remote behavioral health services to clients in Alabama. The role combines psychotherapy with a broader clinical social work perspective, considering personal, family, and social factors that may affect clients’ mental health. The social worker works directly with clients, maintains clinical records, and identifies additional resources or services when needs extend beyond therapy. This is a full-time remote telehealth position with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The stated salary is $115,000–$120,000 per year, with benefits.
Requirements
- Active Alabama LICSW license in good standing.
- Comfort using telehealth tools, electronic documentation systems, and remote client communication.
- Strong assessment skills and ethical judgment.
- Ability to manage a full-time caseload.
- Ability to support clients with emotional concerns and practical life stressors.
- Clear writing skills.
- A reliable private workspace for virtual sessions.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual psychotherapy through secure telehealth sessions.
- Review psychosocial factors that may affect a client’s well-being.
- Address emotional, behavioral, and life-related concerns during treatment.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Identify when community resources, referrals, or additional services may be appropriate.
- Use professional judgment when client needs or risk levels change.
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
- Follow Alabama LICSW licensing, ethical, and telehealth requirements.
