The Student Success division at the University of South Florida (USF) comprises 60 departments dedicated to providing students with academic support, engagement opportunities, health and wellness services, and enhancing the overall educational experience. The Counseling Center, a vital part of Student Success at USF's Tampa campus, focuses on supporting the mental health and well-being of approximately 44,000 graduate and undergraduate students. Through high-quality clinical services, evidence-based practices, innovative outreach, consultation, and education, the Center is recognized for its contribution to the success of a diverse student body. The Counseling Center, with a multidisciplinary team of 30 professionals including licensed psychologists, mental health counselors, clinical social workers, and marriage and family therapists, is accredited by IACS and has an APA-accredited doctoral internship. The Center is committed to a team approach to client care, offering a thriving group therapy program, interdisciplinary training, and ongoing consultation opportunities. This position is seeking clinicians with a commitment to excellence, a strong multicultural orientation, and who will enhance the diversity and resources of the staff. Clinicians directly serve the USF community through ethical practice of culturally responsive, theoretically grounded, and evidence-based individual and group therapies, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation and prevention activities. This role includes the opportunity to be involved in training and supervision for the Center's training programs. The clinician will serve in an embedded role for USF's College of Nursing (CON), providing clinical services on-site within this program area and establishing designated liaisons within CON. Clinicians participate in the development of Center policy and programs and represent the Center to the USF community and at professional forums. As essential staff, this position responds to student mental health needs during and after critical events such as severe weather or campus emergencies.
