About The Position

Walmart is hiring an experienced Licensed Facilities Maintenance Operations Manager to lead facilities maintenance across a local regional market. The role leads predictive and preventative maintenance strategy for facilities throughout an assigned region and oversees HVAC/R and general building maintenance across multiple locations. The manager partners with Store Managers and Facilities Services leadership to keep facilities operating safely, efficiently, and reliably; uses reporting, analytics, and root-cause analysis to improve equipment reliability and maintenance performance; and coordinates with vendors and contractors as needed. The position requires maintaining contractor licensing and regulatory compliance, securing required permits, coordinating inspections in accordance with mechanical and building codes, and conducting site inspections for safety, quality, and compliance. Travel is approximately 50% or more throughout the local region, mostly same-day and without overnight stays.

Requirements

Currently hold an active HVAC/R Mechanical Contractor license in good standing in the state of residence.
Hold EPA Universal Certification.
Have 3–5 years of experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
Strong HVAC/mechanical knowledge.
Leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop others.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
Experience with root-cause and equipment breakdown analysis.

Responsibilities
