The Licensed Building Automation Electrician installs and supports Building Automation System (BAS) wiring, controls, and related electrical components in customer facilities. This role coordinates with project managers, customers, and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule while overseeing apprentice electricians onsite. Requirements

  • Current Minnesota Journeyman or Master Electrician License
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong understanding of NEC code
  • Ability to lead small crews and perform independent work
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
  • Proficient with computers, tablets, email and construction management software

Nice To Haves

  • BAS controls installation experience

Responsibilities

  • Installing Building Automation System (BAS) electrical materials, wiring, and equipment in compliance with current NEC code requirements.
  • Coordinating onsite installation activities with project managers, customers, and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Creating material lists.
  • Communicating project needs and updates.
  • Overseeing apprentice electricians onsite.
  • Completing project documentation and reporting using computers or tablets.
  • Traveling to job sites, including occasional overnight travel.
