About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Licensed Customs Broker to ensure the efficient and compliant import of goods across international borders. The role involves facilitating customs clearance, maintaining regulatory compliance, preparing documentation, and coordinating with clients and other stakeholders in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The position is based in Jamaica, NY, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Requirements

• Active Customs Broker License.
• Extensive experience in international trade and customs processes.
• Proficiency in customs brokerage software and technology.
• Strong understanding of global trade agreements and compliance standards.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English.
• Bachelor's degree in international business, logistics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Customs Broker.
• In-depth knowledge of customs laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the clearance of imported goods through customs.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and laws.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs laws and regulations.
• Negotiate with government agencies on behalf of clients.
• Prepare and submit documentation necessary for customs clearance.
• Work with clients to understand their needs and support a smooth customs process.
• Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to coordinate delivery of goods.
