About The Position

Psycle On Wellness is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional to provide mental health services to adolescents in a juvenile detention center setting. Immediate full-time and part-time positions available. The ideal candidate is a licensed behavioral health professional in Maryland with experience in juvenile justice settings, committed to delivering trauma-informed, ethical, and high-quality care.

Requirements

Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work
Licensed in the state of Maryland in good standing (LCSW-C, LMSW, LGPC, or LCPC)
Minimum of 2 years counseling experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willing to complete a federal and state background check
Reliable transportation

Responsibilities

Conduct individual counseling sessions weekly
Conduct weekly psychoeducational groups for youth
Perform suicide risk screenings within 2 hours of admission
Complete psychosocial intake screenings, including the MAYSI-2, within 24 hours of admission
Monitor the suicide log daily and provide daily visits for youth on suicide watch
Review housing classification within 24 hours of admission
Follow up on prior victimization within 14 days
Sign and maintain all required clinical documentation
Complete seclusion observation forms and crisis behavioral health referral forms in the youth’s record the same day
Attend clinical staff meetings as scheduled
