About The Position

We are seeking compassionate, motivated Dietitians — including recent graduates and early-career professionals — to join our collaborative nutrition team in Westborough, MA. At Walden, you’ll work alongside experienced clinicians in a supportive environment where mentorship, professional development, and patient-centered care come first. As a Dietitian, you’ll provide clinical nutrition counseling and individualized dietary planning under the supervision of the Director of Ambulatory Nutrition Services. You’ll help patients build healthier relationships with food while gaining valuable experience in behavioral healthcare and nutrition therapy. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition
  • Experience with menu planning and therapeutic diets in a healthcare setting, required
  • License-eligible Dietitian with the state of MA
  • Plans to become registered with the Commission on Registration from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
  • CPR Certification

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical nutrition and meal plans in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care
  • Provide Nutrition assessments to all patients and accurately and thoroughly document nutritional assessment and patient issues using appropriate clinical terminology.
  • Perform individual and group nutrition therapy.
  • Provide meal plan/guide outlines and work with patients towards nutrition rehabilitation.
  • Participate in treatment team planning and discharge planning.
  • Provide effective nutrition education to patients and families.
  • Communicate progress and activities related to treatment and continuing care plans on an ongoing basis to the patient, family, treatment team, referral source and other individuals involved in the patient’s care.
  • Supervise breakfast, lunch and snacks while providing meal coaching to clients, as needed.
