The Department of State, Division of Library and Information Services, Bureau of Library and Network Services is seeking a Library Program Specialist for the Capitol Branch Library. This position acts as the solo professional staff member at the Capitol Branch, responsible for its development, maintenance, and management. The role involves circulation, interlibrary loan activities, catalog maintenance, and collection management (weeding and binding). The specialist will provide complex reference and research services to state agency personnel and the public, including online searches of multiple electronic databases. They will also assist users with research, direct their use of various sources and collections, and track collection usage statistics. Additionally, the position will promote the State Library and its services, particularly those of the Capitol Branch, through presentations, webinars, tours, and other communication methods. Other duties as assigned.
