About The Position

Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) is seeking an innovative, self-reflective, collaborative, and knowledgeable Library Media Specialist for Walton Middle School for the 2026-27 School Year. ACPS is committed to providing authentic, challenging, and relevant learning experiences that prepare students to be lifelong contributors and leaders in a dynamic and diverse society. Requirements

Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with endorsement as a Library Media Specialist.
Be an educator in Albemarle County Public Schools.
Be innovative, self-reflective, collaborative, and knowledgeable in content area and instructional practices.
Be continually growing and improving.
Be passionate about closing equity and achievement gaps.
Be prepared to engage with our Culturally Responsive Teaching model in support of our Equity Mission Statement.
