About The Position

Albemarle County Public Schools is seeking an innovative and collaborative educator to join the Community Lab School as a Library Media Specialist for the 2026-27 School Year. The Community Lab School is a nationally recognized 6-12 school that integrates interdisciplinary project-based learning, multi-age classrooms, and mastery grading. As a hub for educational innovation, it designs and pilots nontraditional teaching strategies, often in collaboration with university research partners. The school is an IB World School offering the Diploma Programme and is a member of the Mastery Transcript Consortium. Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with endorsement as a Library Media Specialist.

• Design novel curricular and instructional models.
