About The Position
The Morgridge College of Education is looking to hire adjunct instructors for the 2026-2027 academic year to teach a variety of graduate courses in the Library and Information Science department. Courses may vary. This posting will serve for multiple openings throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in relevant content area (e.g., Library & Information Science or equivalent from an ALA-accredited program)
- Two years of professional experience in a library, archive, museum, or other information services setting.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching experience at the graduate level.
Responsibilities
- Teach in person or online once a week.
- Create and maintain course Canvas container for the onsite courses.
- Meet with students as needed to support their success.
- Provide assignment feedback and grades to students in a timely manner.
- Respond to emails from students and program leadership within 48 business hours.
- Participate in recruiting and informational events as needed.
