About The Position
Under general direction, the Librarian performs professional library duties, including providing information and assistance to customers of all ages; planning, scheduling, and presenting programs and services; providing reference, readers’ advisory, and bibliographic instruction; building relationships with community organizations; providing technology instruction; and engaging in civic participation. The position serves guests of all ages, with a special interest in leading programming and outreach for children. This position is assigned to the Warr Acres Library at 5901 NW 63rd Street in Warr Acres, Oklahoma. The hiring salary is $52,540.80 annually. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position classified as exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act. The candidate should be available to work all hours the library is open, including some weekends and evenings; hours may change based on library needs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited college or university.
- Enthusiasm for public service and ability to work well with a diverse audience.
- Availability to work all hours the library is open, including some weekends and evenings.
