A unique opportunity for Librarians seeking a part-time professional position! WCPL is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Part-time Adult Services Librarian for the Athens Drive Community Library. In addition to providing direct public service, the Librarian delivers programs and services aimed at an adult audience. These Librarian-led programs and services focus on a variety of topics, scaled to match the part-time schedule. The Athens Drive Community Library is centrally located in Raleigh within Athens Drive High School, 1420 Athens Dr., Raleigh, NC 27606. The library operates on a limited schedule during the school year, Mon-Thu 4:00-9:00 pm, Fri 4:00-6:00, Sat 9:00-6:00 and Sun 1:00-5:00. From approximately June 17th – August 12th, the library will be open Mon-Thu 9:00-9:00, Fri-Sat 9:00-6:00, and Sun 1:00-5:00. The Athens Drive Community Library was part of the 2024 Library Bond and will be replaced with a new building in the next seven years. The person selected for this position must undergo a successful criminal background check and education verification, as well as submit fingerprints to the State Bureau of Investigation for a secondary criminal history record check.
