About the role As a Librarian at TAFE NSW, you’ll be the go‑to expert who connects students with the information, tools, and confidence they need to thrive. You will deliver dynamic, customer‑focused support, both in person and online, helping learners build strong information literacy skills and navigate a wide range of digital and physical resources with ease. You will collaborate with teaching teams, champion our collections and digital guides, and promote innovative library services that inspire engagement across campus. Requirements

  • Recognised graduate or postgraduate library qualification.
  • Eligibility for ALIA membership.
  • Strong foundation in the principles, concepts, and theory of contemporary library practice.
  • Tech-savvy and future-focused.
  • Comfortable working with library systems including circulation, inventory, and analytics.
  • Curious about emerging technologies such as digital literacy tools and AI.
  • Able to support others in developing these skills.
  • Enjoy helping people navigate the evolving information landscape.
  • Adaptable and collaborative.
  • Willing to travel occasionally to maintain service continuity across the library network.
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Australian citizen, permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport.
