We are an agency committed to quality gender-responsive, trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing serious mental illness, development disabilities, and co-occurring disorders. Metrocare programs focus on the issues that matter most in the lives of the children, families and adults we serve. The IDD Jail/ Court Liaison is a position with in the Local Intellectual Developmental Disability Authority (LIDDA) who works with individuals with a primary diagnosis of intellectual or Developmental Disability who are involved or at risk for involvement in the criminal justice system. Individuals may also be court ordered for treatment, jail diversion and outpatient competency restoration programs. The Liaison also coordinates services for individuals with IDD committed to the State Hospital System. This position is customer service oriented and works closely with other departments within the agency, community stakeholders and Legal Authorized Representatives (LAR) or Actively Involved Persons in the individual’s life.
