About The Position

The Liability Claims Examiner analyzes General Liability bodily injury (BI) and Auto BI claims on behalf of clients to determine benefits due. The role is responsible for ongoing claim adjudication within service expectations, industry best practices, and specific client service requirements. Litigation experience is required. The position serves a dedicated client and requires nationwide jurisdiction knowledge; New York licensing is preferred. The work is hybrid for candidates located within 25 miles of Sedgwick’s Marlton, New Jersey office and remote for candidates outside that area. Requirements

Four years of claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Litigation experience.
Nationwide jurisdiction knowledge.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Professional certification applicable to the line of business.
New York licensing.

Responsibilities

Analyze and process claims using action plans to reach appropriate and timely resolutions.
Investigate and gather information to determine claim exposure.
Negotiate claim settlements within designated authority.
Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.
Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to requests for direction professionally and promptly.
