About The Position
Analyze General Liability and Auto bodily injury claims, including litigated and non-litigated claims and premises claims, on behalf of clients to determine benefits due. Ensure claims are adjudicated within service expectations, industry best practices, and client-specific service requirements. The role requires General Liability experience, New York labor law and tender experience, nationwide jurisdiction knowledge with a heavy New York focus, and preferably a New York home-state license. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Five years of claims management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
- General Liability experience required.
- New York labor law experience required.
- Tender experience required.
- Nationwide jurisdiction knowledge, with a heavy New York focus.
- A home-state license, with New York preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Professional certification applicable to the line of business preferred.
- New York home-state license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and process claims using action plans to achieve appropriate and timely resolution.
- Investigate claims and gather information to determine claim exposure.
- Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
- Communicate claim activity and processing with claimants and clients.
- Report claims to excess carriers and respond professionally and promptly to requests for direction.
