About The Position

This is an extra-curricular position for a Head Varsity Girls Wrestling Coach at Lebanon High School. The coach will be responsible for building relationships with administration, teachers, coaches, wrestlers, and parents. Key duties include preparing and organizing practices, ensuring athlete safety and academic progress, encouraging wrestler development at all levels (high school, middle school, and youth league), providing proper instruction in skills and strategies, understanding financial and budgeting processes, and adhering to IHSAA rules and policies. The coach must be a positive role model and motivator.

Requirements

• College Degree
• Experience coaching at the High School Level
• Experience wrestling at the High School or College level

Nice To Haves

• Teaching license
• Head High School coaching experience
• Experience and knowledge of strength and conditioning programs
• CPR Certified
• Completion of NFHS online courses: Concussion, Heat Index Safety, and Sudden Cardiac Arrest
• Completion of LCSC certification requirements including Safe School online courses: Child Abuse: Mandatory Reporting & Recognition and Response, Bullying; Recognition & Response

Responsibilities

• Build personal and professional relationships with administration, teachers, coaches, wrestlers and parents.
• Prepare, plan, and be responsible and organized.
• Ensure athlete safety, sharing of athletes, academic progress, and participation numbers.
• Encourage wrestler development at the high school, middle school and youth league level.
• Provide proper instruction, teaching skills and strategies.
• Understand financial and budgeting process.
• Adhere to coaching and practicing rules and policies governed by the IHSAA.
• Serve as a positive role model and motivator.
