About The Position

The Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department Nurse Director is responsible for strategic direction, results accountability, process improvement, change management, interpersonal communication, financial accountability, technical expertise, and leadership skills within the Emergency Department. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans, policies, and procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive working environment. The Director will also oversee process improvement initiatives, manage change effectively, and maintain strong communication with all stakeholders. Financial oversight, technical competence, and strong leadership are critical to this position. The role also includes direct patient care responsibilities and promoting the Magnet spirit within the department.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
BSN required.
Minimum of four (4) years of nursing experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of previous nursing experience in progressively responsible leadership roles.
Current Registered Nursing License with Georgia Board of Nursing or Current Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
CPR/ACLS

Nice To Haves

MSN preferred.
Of the four (4) years of experience required, two (2) years of experience in the area of specialty is preferred.
Recommend certification in relevant specialty.
