About The Position
LEU+ Safety Liaison is located in Columbia, SC. This role involves supporting compliance with project safety requirements, OSHA, and applicable standards. Requirements
- 5 years of experience in construction safety or EH&S field environments
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, and safe work practices
- Familiarity with environmental compliance and permitting processes
- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
- Documentation skills
- Identify risks and support corrective actions in a field setting
- 3+ years of experience in nuclear or highly regulated environments
- 3+ years of experience working with subcontractors in construction settings
- Background in mechanical, piping, HVAC, or fabrication.

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Support compliance with project safety requirements, OSHA, and applicable standards
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and daily walkdowns to identify hazards
- Participate in hazard assessments and verify work controls
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Communicate safety concerns and support continuous improvement
- Strengthen proper PPE use and safe work practices
- Maintain safety records and documentation
- Support safety meetings, orientations, and field coaching
- Support environmental compliance, including waste management and stormwater (SWPPP)
- Perform field walkdowns to identify environmental risks
- Help with inspections, documentation, and corrective actions
- Support spill prevention, response, and reporting
- Maintain environmental records for audits and compliance
- Support permit tracking, compliance, and documentation
- Help with regulatory inspections and agency coordination
- Communicate permit requirements and identify potential risks
