About The Position
The Lessons Lead is responsible for ensuring a positive experience for customers and students at Guitar Center. The role sells lesson and rehearsal packages, assists customers with questions, and provides tours of the Lessons facility. The Lessons Lead supports the lesson program by coordinating instructors, students, and schedules, maintaining curriculum sales, and ensuring systems function properly. Successful candidates demonstrate customer focus, clear and courteous communication, strong organization and attention to detail, and the ability to lead, manage, and mentor others. They help develop direct reports, provide constructive feedback, and manage a geographically dispersed team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in musical instruction, administration, or retail non-instruction roles.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and address customer service issues.
- Clear, concise, positive, and courteous written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and attention-to-detail skills in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.
- Ability to lead, manage, and mentor others, provide feedback, and manage a geographically dispersed team.

Responsibilities
- Increase student enrollment in the lesson program by driving and maintaining sales and promotional programs.
- Sell rehearsal space.
- Communicate with parents and students to ensure a positive overall experience.
- Guide instructors, manage teaching and non-teaching schedules, and coordinate lesson schedules with instructor availability.
- Maintain and increase curriculum sales.
- Ensure systems are functioning properly.
- Maintain lesson and rehearsal schedules for the facility.
- Assist customers with questions and provide tours of the Lessons facility.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
