About The Position

The Loan Boarding Specialist is responsible for accurately and promptly setting up new loans and renewals in the core system. The role ensures loan data is boarded according to regulatory and company requirements. It includes reviewing loan documentation, validating data integrity, resolving discrepancies, and working with internal and external partners to support a smooth loan onboarding process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of applicable work experience.
• Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in loan servicing, loan boarding, mortgage operations, banking operations, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Review loan documentation packages for completeness and accuracy before boarding.
• Board new loans and renewals into the core system.
• Verify and validate borrower data, loan terms, collateral information, escrow setup, and payment details.
• Research and resolve boarding errors and exceptions.
• Coordinate with operational departments to obtain missing or corrected information.
• Review and establish escrow accounts, tax information, insurance details, and other loan-level records as required.
• Complete boarding activities within established service level agreements (SLAs).
• Follow regulatory requirements, company policies, and internal controls.
