About The Position

First United Bank is accepting applications for a full-time Lending Assistant/Teller at its Lamesa Banking Center in Lamesa, Texas. The position works directly with loan officers to prepare and book customer loans, retrieve supporting documents, and provide a high level of customer service. It also includes administrative, customer-facing, application-processing, and loan-closing coordination duties. The role participates in job-specific and other bank training and must comply with BSA, AML, and bank policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of banking experience.
• Exceptional customer service, reliability, initiative, confidentiality, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft programs.
• Proficiency in grammar and punctuation, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer relations skills and a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Perform administrative duties for one or more loan officers engaged in commercial or consumer loans.
• Type and file documents; answer phones; greet and assist customers and prospective customers.
• Assist customers with loan applications and processes, and prepare applications for lending officers’ review.
• Coordinate with loan processors to complete and return documentation for closing.
• Participate in job-specific training and various bank training programs.
• Comply with BSA, AML, and all bank policies and procedures.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
