About The Position

Responsible for soliciting, developing and funding loans to new and existing Specialty Finance clients. This role involves actively soliciting and developing new customer relationships in assigned market areas, managing ongoing sales relationships, funding and boarding loans, and providing other ongoing client services and administration. The position drives portfolio growth, depository targets, and credit quality of existing accounts to ensure departmental targets and goals are achieved through collaboration with Value Stream Team members. The Lender II works with Deposit Officers, Credit, Loan Operations, and Accounting teams in establishing new client relationships and servicing existing clients. They attend to the individual needs of SFG clients seeking loans, evaluate the financial condition of the client, the value of pledged collateral, and the client’s management effectiveness and competency. Additionally, the role identifies opportunities and promotes cross-selling by engaging other areas of the bank to deepen client relationships. The Lender II develops, maintains, and executes the Pipeline Report and follows up on all prospective clients, actively utilizing the InSight (Salesforce) system for lead management and task follow-up. If applicable, this role may be responsible for the supervision of assigned staff.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) to eight (8) years experience or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Prior experience in commercial equipment finance (i.e., auto, aviation or heavy equipment).
  • Proven record of new business generation.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Certified Lease & Finance Professional (CLFP) certification preferred.

  • Actively utilize InSight (Salesforce) system by populating new client leads, referrals, opportunities, and maintain a daily follow up on all tasks for prospective and existing clients.
  • If applicable, responsible for the supervision of assigned staff and exercises the usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.
  • Complete all compliance training related to the position.
  • Understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and comply with the requirements.
