About The Position

As a Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator, you’ll plan, coordinate and evaluate a range of activities that support the quality of life and wellbeing of residents at Booleroo Centre District Hospital & Health Services. You’ll develop social, recreational and individual activities suited to residents with varying cognitive and physical abilities, while providing opportunities for social inclusion, stimulation and emotional support. Working as part of a holistic care team, you’ll also contribute to care planning and continuous improvement in line with residents’ goals.

Requirements

Experience working with older, frail or disabled people.
A genuine interest in supporting meaningful connections and participation.
Organised, adaptable and confident working with initiative and under indirect supervision.
Experience developing and implementing recreational or social programs.
Strong interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
Good time management and the ability to prioritise.
Experience working in aged care, health care and/or a rural setting.
Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
Appropriate immunisation requirements.
DHS National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Check.
National Police Certificate (NPC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups.

Nice To Haves

A Certificate IV qualification relevant to the role, or a willingness to work towards one.
