About The Position

We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Leisure and Activities Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis at Calvary Balmoral Grove in Grovedale. In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by coordinating and delivering engaging leisure and lifestyle programs. If you have a caring nature, excellent interpersonal skills, and a flair for creativity, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements

Certificate IV Leisure & Lifestyle or other relevant qualification.
Certificate III in Aged Care.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programmes for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities.
Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative, funding and quality improvement requirements.
Ability to work and communicate with people of all ages and cognitive ability and to obtain their trust and co-operation.
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.

Nice To Haves

Experience or qualifications working within palliative care.
