About The Position

Ardian is seeking a Legal Structuring Intern to join their Fund Structuring division in Montreal. The intern will report to the local Head of Legal and work within a team of approximately 25 professionals. This role offers strong international exposure within a leading investment firm operating across Paris, London, and Luxembourg. The primary focus will be on assisting with the creation and ongoing management of investment vehicles and funds, particularly semi-liquid funds and those intended for non-professional investors. Responsibilities include preparing meetings for fund governing bodies, reviewing various agreements, and presenting legislative, regulatory, and case law updates. The work is primarily conducted under U.S./common law and Luxembourg law frameworks.

Requirements

  • Graduate-level studies in business law with strong knowledge of corporate law (Magistère, Master’s degree, etc.), or currently preparing for the CRFPA/CAPA, or pursuing a Master’s degree from a business school
  • Previous significant internship experience in a law firm or company is required
  • Strong English proficiency is mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the creation and ongoing management of investment vehicles and funds, particularly semi-liquid funds and vehicles intended for non-professional investors
  • Preparing meetings for fund governing bodies (Boards, Investment Committees, etc.)
  • Reviewing various agreements (e.g., placement and distribution agreements, service agreements, confidentiality agreements, etc.)
  • Presenting legislative, regulatory, and case law updates
