About The Position

The Legal Services Fellow assists CTA’s Legal Department with corporate legal functions. The fellow conducts legal research, supports contract and intellectual property processes, assists with discovery requests, maintains files, and provides customer service. The fellow also handles projects and other duties as needed by the Legal Department.

Requirements

Previous experience working in a professional setting.
Bachelor’s degree.
Completion of at least one year of law school.
Knowledge of legal terminology and formats.
Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidential information appropriately.
Ability to meet demanding deadlines and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Coursework in corporate and contracts law.
Team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

Conduct legal research on antitrust, data privacy, gaming laws, and other areas.
Process draft contracts, including proofing, routing, editing, and monitoring execution.
Assist staff in implementing contract management software.
Maintain contract files.
Draft cease and desist letters.
Assist with intellectual property enforcement actions.
Assist with legal research and other activities related to a new branding campaign.
Maintain intellectual property files.
Assist with discovery requests.
Provide a strong level of customer service.
Handle projects and other duties with the Legal Department as needed.
