About The Position

The Legal Services Fellow assists CTA’s Legal Department with corporate legal functions. The role supports legal research, contract processing and administration, intellectual property work, discovery requests, and other projects as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a professional setting.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Completion of at least one year of law school.
• Knowledge of legal terminology and formats.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to meet demanding deadlines and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework in corporate and contracts law.
• Team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on antitrust, data privacy, gaming laws, and other areas.
• Process draft contracts, including proofreading, routing, editing, and monitoring execution.
• Assist staff with implementing contract management software.
• Maintain files.
• Draft cease and desist letters.
• Assist with intellectual property enforcement actions.
• Conduct legal research and other activities related to a new branding campaign.
• Assist with discovery requests.
• Provide a strong level of customer service.
• Handle projects and other duties as needed by the Legal Department.
