About The Position

The Law Offices of Bradford & Barthel, LLP is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable legal secretary who is highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, reliable and able to efficiently multi-task. EAMS experience is preferred. This role is responsible for providing clerical support to attorneys.

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of Database software and Word Processing software.

Nice To Haves

  • EAMS experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and files legal documents and correspondence.
  • Electronically files legal documents in EAMS Workers' Compensation program.
  • File and serves legal documents.
  • Schedules medical appointments, depositions, interpreters, court reporters and witnesses.
  • Maintains diary system.
  • Takes incoming calls for attorney and assists client were needed.
  • Ensure proper indexing and filing of legal documents.
  • Works closely with attorneys and legal staff to complete clerical assignments.
