The Legal Recruiting Assistant position, based in the New York office with work-from-home flexibility, is an administrative role supporting the Legal Recruiting team. This role involves assisting with various administrative functions such as expense reports, resume management, interview scheduling, greeting candidates, data entry, and candidate searches, playing a pivotal role in the firm's recruiting success.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • At least one to three years of experience in a professional service environment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support including correspondence, report generation, memoranda and/or other documents, revising, proofreading, assembling, and distributing prepared materials as necessary.
  • Assists in the coordination of interview scheduling, including sending calendar appointments, reserving conference rooms, making travel arrangements, distributing materials, and collecting evaluations.
  • Tracks and responds to all lateral resumes received as instructed by the Director.
  • Assists with implementation/process of ViRecruit including inputting candidates, maintaining status codes, creating and maintaining requisition codes, search firms, and running reports.
  • Coordinates appointments for recurring monthly meetings, committee and ad hoc meetings.
  • Communicates properly and promptly with Benesch personnel and external contacts at all times and must exhibit a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Maintains Legal Recruiting files including intake forms, candidate checklists, search firm agreements, preferred vendor lists, etc.
  • Assists with the transition of new hires from Legal Recruiting to Onboarding and Integration.
  • Works closely with the Legal Recruiting Coordinator to support the administrative functions of the department relating to a "first in class" recruiting function.
  • Answers phones and directs calls as needed.
  • Processes expense reimbursements for candidates.
  • Tracks and processes search firm agreement invoices.
  • Assists with special projects as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to lateral integration team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
