About The Position

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., was founded in 1978 and is a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange. It is engaged in the construction and sale of high quality homes designed principally for the entry-level and first time move-up markets. The Company also provides mortgage financing and title services for homebuyers through its mortgage and title subsidiaries. The Legal/Privacy Administrative Assistant will perform administrative functions, such as answering phones, signing for packages, preparing presentations and reports, and maintaining correspondence files with vendors and departments within the division.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year or four-year college; or four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively with employees and consultants of organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Be able to use Microsoft Office, Excel and Sharepoint.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative and clerical assistance.
  • Process and organize emails and electronic files.
  • Keep trackers of department tasks and projects.
  • Assist in the review and processing of various legal documents including software agreements and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Assist in compliance reviews of company websites and related matters.
  • Prepare and organize legal documents. Be able to use Microsoft Office, Excel and Sharepoint.
  • Compose letters and routine correspondence.
  • Responsible for telephone duties and preparing courier packages.
  • May be required to make meeting and travel arrangements.
  • Perform research of various issues and draft summaries of findings.
  • Assist Corporate Counsel as requested on various matters.
  • Work in a team environment.
