About The Position

Notion is seeking a Legal Ops Program & AI Enablement leader to scale and modernize its Legal function. This role is central to operations, systems, and technology, collaborating with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and other teams to enhance legal work execution, tracking, and optimization. The position involves managing core legal operations such as eBilling, matter management, and vendor coordination, ensuring efficient workflows for budgeting, accruals, and payments. A significant aspect of the role is developing and maintaining Legal’s knowledge infrastructure, ensuring information is organized, accessible, and improved. The role will also focus on defining and tracking key metrics, providing insights on spend and efficiency, and translating data into actionable improvements. Furthermore, the position will be instrumental in evaluating and implementing legal technology and AI tools, piloting automation solutions, and improving adoption. This includes creating playbooks, refining workflows, and designing systems to boost speed, consistency, and visibility. The ideal candidate possesses strong legal operations experience, a systems-thinking approach, and practical knowledge of legal tech and AI tools. They should be adept at handling ambiguity, converting operational challenges into scalable solutions, and managing initiatives from inception to completion. Manage and enhance core legal operations, including eBilling, matter management, and vendor coordination.
Ensure smooth execution across budgeting, accruals, and payment workflows.
Drive cross-functional initiatives to streamline intake and processes.
Build scalable systems to support a wide range of legal functions.
Develop and maintain Legal’s knowledge infrastructure, ensuring information is organized and accessible.
Define and track key metrics, and surface insights on spend and efficiency.
Translate data into actionable improvements to shape Legal's prioritization and operations.
Evaluate and implement legal technology and AI tools.
Pilot automation solutions and improve adoption across the team.
Build playbooks, refine workflows, and design systems to increase speed, consistency, and visibility.
